I need to apply for grants to fund a project/program.
We want to create a set of standards and guidelines for a particular medical condition, health care delivery or social service.
I have a great idea for a book, but I’m having trouble organizing my thoughts into a book proposal/manuscript to send to a publisher.
Do any of these statements (and their variations) apply to you? I can work closely with you at any stage of your content development, from concept/idea, outline/framework, the first draft, to the final product. It’s up to you.
Some sample projects are (but not limited to):
- Clinical/operational guidelines
- Grant applications (research and programmatic)
- Non-fiction or academic book manuscripts
- Academic articles
- Book proposals
- Educational/promotional materials (e.g. handouts, brochures, Powerpoint slides, online courses, posters, website)
I work with scholars, researchers, educators, health care professionals, social service providers and more.
Rates depend on the type of service, timeline, and length and complexity of the project.
Medical/Technical Writing: I provide technical writing for content in areas such as health care, social science research/scholarship, HIV/AIDS and community-based arts. Please see Projects for examples of my past and present projects.
Developmental Editing: I provide guidance and coaching in the developmental stages of large writing projects, such as non-fiction books and academic manuscripts. My service includes conceptualizing the project, planning the overall structure and developing an outline.
I offer a 30-minute initial consultation (in person or via Skype) at no cost, which includes verbal/email feedback on max. 500 words (2 pages double-spaced). Unfortunately, I don’t offer student rates at this time.
To schedule an initial consultation, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
